Pregnant – by Nefeli Sarri

Plot:

Nine months to get used to the idea. Nine months to get physically and phychologically prepared. The body transformed, prepared to embrace. PREGNANT is the story of young actress’s pregnancy. She looked forward to this moment all her life, always having imagined a baby girl but now expecting a baby boy. Nine months to let go of something that kept her locked in the past and become a mother. A visual diary, playing with memories and present time. On a personal quest to know who she is, Cristina loses and finds herself; a path, though sometimes hard to follow, meaningful and liberating.

Nefeli Sarri

An Athens native and Architecture graduate, she worked as an architect in Greece. In 2010, she graduated in directing fiction from the school of cinema Nuct in Rome. During her studies she wrote and directed short feature films, in 2011 she worked as a co-screenwriter for the documentary “Step for two”. PREGNANT is her first personal documentary film.

Dimitris Argyriou

graduated with Master of Arts from Dept. of Audio & Visual Arts at Ionian University in Greece and he studied with Erasmus scholarship at Universität der Künste Berlin (UDK-Berlin) in Germany.
He has written, directed and produced 6 short films, which have awarded & nominated in more than 170 international film festivals & events. He has won 14 awards for his films.
Since 2013, he is working as director and editor in Berlin, he is the founder of the NEW BORN Short Film Agency & the Creative Media e.V., he is Art Director at ShortCutz Berlin and since 2014, he is member of the pre-selecting team and co-curator of the program “Transitions: Experimental Shorts” of International Short Film Festival in Berlin “Interfilm”.
